Hone your leadership skills by sharing your knowledge and experience with Girl Scouts at Teen Retreat! Teen Retreat is Girl Scouts of Oregon and SW Washington's leadership and outdoor skill-building event for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors.
Where: Suttle Lake in Sisters, Oregon.
When: October 6-8, 2023 (Workshops will be held on October 7 and 8)
We're seeking adult volunteers who are interested in sharing their skills by leading workshops for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors and are open to all of your ideas!
Attendees customize their experience with activities including a mixture of traditional camp activities, life skills, and presentations from fellow teen Girl Scouts about their experience with entrepreneurial programs, Gold Award projects, travel, and more.
The event's primary objectives are to provide much-needed and requested programming for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors. This event is a space for older Girl Scouts to enjoy activities tailored to their age group which they don’t have to plan or facilitate themselves while being inspired to continue participation with Girl Scouts as they get older.
Past workshops have included improv games, outdoor and indoor cooking, college information panels, FBI investigators, marine biologists, veterinarians, art therapy, weaving, and embroidery in addition to traditional camp activities like kayaking/canoeing, archery, and hiking.
